You know your way around a keyboard, right? You've been on Facebook and have probably even mastered email. Even so, I'd bet you'd be amazed at the number of basic conveniences that most users miss. David Pouge, of NYTimes blog fame, has prepared a list of basic tips and trick that most of us don't know about. His tips range from everyday handiness such as the fact that you can double-click a word to select it or triple-click a sentence to select the whole section, to the more complex advice regarding the number of photos to send per email. The idea behind online storage service Dropbox is pretty simple. You install it on each computer you work with (Windows, Mac or Linux) and it give you a "dropbox" folder on each. If you add, delete or change a file in that drop box, the changes are also made on your other computers. Even if you ignore the neat synchronization feature, it still makes for an excellent backup service as the files are also stored on Dropbox's servers. It features several other neat tricks such as access to your files from dropbox.com and iPhone/Blackberry apps for mobile data access. The free service includes 2GB but you can buy 50GB for $9.99/month or a plentiful 100GB for $19.99/month.
